First introduced in 2001, the Digital Desert camo was designed as a replacement for the traditional 3-Color Desert pattern. Utilized by the United States Marine Corps, this digital camouflage is based on the successful Canadian CADPAT camo, featuring small rectangular pixels of color. Due to its design, the Digital Desert camo is believed to be more effective than standard uniform patterns as it mimics the natural textures and boundaries found in desert and arid environments.
