Commonly known as “blueberries” due to its distinctive blue pattern, this digital camouflage shirt was used as the U. S. Navy’s working uniform. Made from a nylon cotton (NyCo Twill) blend it provides a durable use and was designed for shipboard use. The shirts feature chest pockets and are often embroidered with “U. S. Navy” insignia patches. In the late 2010’s this pattern was phased out and replaced by the green camouflage, but it still remains a symbol of Navy service.

The term "digital" in reference to camouflage has evolved in meaning over time. In today's usage, it typically describes a pattern created through computer algorithms, emphasizing micropatterns for effective disruption. This is in contrast to conventional, analog, and organic camo designs, which tend to feature macro patterns. The concept behind micropatterns is that outlines are more difficult to identify when colors are "blurred" or "dithered." While "pixelated" is a more accurate term, "digital" has become commonly used in military and collector communities and will likely continue to be as long as pixelated designs are produced. Canada was the first country to adopt a true digital pattern, with its CADPAT design in 1997. This was later followed by the US Marine Corps' MARPAT design, which directly evolved from the original Canadian pattern. Since then, many countries have adopted pixelated or "digital" camo designs, with varying levels of success and practicality.
